The simple homepage changes that make it clearer to visitors, search engines and AI tools what you do.
Updated 10/15/2026
The short answer
Say what you do, who for and where in the first lines. Add one clear main heading, a clear page title and description, and easy-to-find contact details.
Worked example
Before: "Excellence in every detail." After: "Family-run electricians in Leeds. Rewiring, repairs and EV chargers. Call 0113 000 0000." The second version tells everyone what the business is.
Quick checklist
One main heading that says what you do. A page title under about 60 characters. A short description. Working contact links. Prices or a starting price if you can share them. Business details marked up with structured data.
Sources
Google Search Central documentation on title links, snippets and LocalBusiness structured data.
