Running a fair website battle

Comparing two websites on the same rubric, not two businesses.

Updated 10/14/2026

A website battle compares two sites on the same checklist. It compares websites, not businesses.

Same rules for both sides Both sites are checked with the same version of the checklist, on the same kind of device, and within a short time window. If those conditions don't match, we refuse to name a winner.

Only shared checks count If a check could be answered for one site but not the other, it is left out of the comparison. Otherwise one side would win simply because we knew more about it.

Supplied snapshots If you paste in page copies yourself, we can show a preview, but we never declare a winner. We can't confirm when or where those copies were taken.

Reading the result A win on the checklist means one page shows more of the things we check for. It doesn't mean that business is better, more trustworthy or more successful.
